When it comes to the playroom and the kids toys I have always been a packrat. I feel so bad giving away toys that the kids have received as gifts, and toys that I know someone paid good money for. When I couldn't see the playroom floor for a few weeks, and when it was almost too overwhelming for me to clean up, I decided to get rid of stuff. So the kids went through everything and we decided to have a garage sale! The kids were so pumped about this! We sent an email out to about 150 families, but had no other advertising. We didn't get much foot traffic, but they sold toys, clothes, books, movies, popcorn and lemonade! They made a $22.00 profit (after paying me back $3.00 for popcorn and lemonade). They had so much fun preparing and hosting!
They really had A LOT of stuff, you only see about 1/3 here. Schuyler had made wonderful signs everywhere, and colored some of the bubble letters with dollar signs and dollar bills! About half of what we didn't sell will be donated, and ther other half we will bring up to a local consignment shop. The kids will donate 10% to the Lago Vista Elementary PTO, because they are trying to raise money for new playground equipment!
Other news:
No, I have not fallen off the face of the earth. For awhile my free time was spent working on a 2010 family Snapfish album (no where near complete). Other free times is spent playing Words with Friends (Scrabble) on my new Smart Phone! I have several blog posts in the works and will try to be better! :-)

Great picture--Curtis looks like he'd rather be sailing away but he is being a good sport.
Wish I could have been there!
He was a great sport - always is! I think maybe his "look" was because the kids kept having him put together these toys with a bunch of pieces! lol
I can't believe how quickly time flies! It's been quite a while sonce I've been on the blog. Oh my goodness, the kids have grown so much, especially Schyuler. I rememeber the day she was born. Just the other day I was telling a friend how was watching over Hershey then and how I brought home Schuyler's baby blanket from the hospital for Hershey to get her scent. It's so CRAZY how the time flies. I miss you all very much & am glad to see you are all doing well. Love, Gelce
