Absent Blogging and Mind

If anyone actually reads these posts, I am sorry for the absent blogging. I could make up a lot of excuses (and I will) like the 8 loads of laundry a week, or the load of dishes per day, on top of everyday cleaning, deep cleaning (which I never get to), on top of meals, snacks, bills, mail, school activities, tball, and soccer. I am exhausted just writing about it. Are you playing your violin yet?

So yes a lot of excuses, but really I guess all those mundane everyday chores have had me in a bit of a funk! It gets boring doing the same thing over and over every day with not much reprieve and really NO progress. Everything gets dirtied ten times faster than I can clean it and I just can’t keep up. Frustrating. So I think I have almost been protesting. But I am over my funk and my protest (for now, I hope).

I know and really appreciate how hard Curtis works (which lately is way to hard), but some days I would trade going into the office and dealing with that stress, versus the stress of 13 hours with children who have a mind of their own with constant needs and a lack of reasoning. Who wouldn't get in a funk over 13 hours of constant whining, complaining, fighting, and crying? Then I get frustrated that I am so busy with the Domestic Engineering tasks that I don’t have time to enjoy the children and to teach them, nurture them, and play with them as I should. Then disappointed in myself that all that stress and frustration gets channeled to the kids. I feel like the worst Mom ever. Now wonder my kids are whining, complaining, fighting, and crying - they are probably learning it from me. Still playing the violin?

Again, all this (thanks for reading me vent) has had me in a funk so I have not posted. However, I have also been busy with a NEW JOB! And we have been busy painting the girls room!

I have started working a few hours a week supporting a sales speaker named Tony Parinello doing some web/link updating, and am happy to contribute to something outside of the Burke domain.

And the girl’s room looks awesome, although still not quite all put back together. One wall is painted pink and purple stripes, and the other three walls are purple.

So please forgive my absent blogging, I will try to do better! And thanks again for reading my self pity and wallowing! You can put away the violin now!

Most mothers can relate to what you are going through as it can be endless, repetitive and not always rewarding. I've got the whole orchestra playing for you. I know you will feel better.

Wonder what happened to the blogging. I love reading the stories, it is like we are there. Then again if we were there we could help you with the cleaning, kids, etc. If you come to Colorado, I know several Grandparents that can assist! Love ya, Mom and Ron
