Chicken Pox!!!!!

From a really cute book titled Goldie Locks has Chicken Pox:
Graydon Burke has chicken pox.
They started out as tiny spots;
then rosy bumps began to form,
and Graydon's temperature was warm.

On his tummy were twenty-four.
On his back, he found twelve more!
All together: thirty six
small pink dots that itched and itched!

Graydon does appear to have chicken pox, although I haven't counted them. He has a lot on his upper back, shoulder blade, bicep area, and a few others in several other spots. He saw our family physician and it was too early to 100% diagnose, but I don't think there is a question at this point. He had the vaccine when he was 1, but he has not had the booster (age 4). So they should be a mild case - and appear to be so far.

The girls have both had the stomach bug (Schuyler twice). Schuyler got sick on the way to a best friends sleepover and couldn't go. She said it "was the worst day of her life" and the poor thing had to see all her friends go into the party (I was bringing the brother home from another party). She was kicking and screaming in disappointment for like 45 minutes and I was crying in empathy to see my little girl so upset. Morgan, Graydon and I have had a mild cold (although Graydon is a little more severe with a barking cough).

Hershey was REALLY sick for a couple of days, but I think he is on the mend. I have a wellness appointment for him for a follow up on a possible anaplasma phagocytophilum diagnosis - some sort of red blood/platelet issue (not related to his recent sickness and I don't think he has it). Hopefully he is fine.

Cross your fingers that we are all on the road to wellness! It has been an interesting 10 days - and will be an interesting 10 more with the chicken pox!
