Champions!

My friend Beth asked me if I wanted to play in a 7v7 soccer tournament over Valentine weekend. I almost regretted my decision when I found out it was three full games on Saturday on a big field (I am use to playing 20 minute halfs on a small 3v3 field). Shortly after I also realized that Sharon and Ron would be here, and then to top it off it was supposed to be about 35 degrees. I was relieved to know that I was not the only one feeling apprehensions (as described above, but mostly due to my recent lack of exercise). So while Sharon and Curtis slaved away with Birthday(s)/Valentine dinner and kid duty, we kicked butt on our soccer games! It was a mix of a team and most of us had never played together, but we had fun and did good enough Saturday to play in the Championship game on Sunday! We won in the last 5 minutes! I unfortunately didn't score, but got some great exercise! We won some cool hoodies you can see in the pictures! My friend Beth rocked and I was so proud of her!
