Bugs and Reptiles

The favorite past time of the kids seems to be collecting bugs and reptiles.  Morgan has collected endless amounts of roly-polies and lady bugs and even several spiders.  Those usually end up dieing out or being let go after several days.  They all made bug jars and we found six really hairy caterpillars that ate and ate and we let them go because they were a little creepy and pooped A LOT!
Graydon and I found a large (8 inch diameter) hurt turtle in the road and brought him home for over a week.  I hope we nursed "Crush" back to health a bit, and then we let him go in the lake.
We brought home ten baby frogs last night (down to eight) that the kids captured and I hope we are able to keep them, feed them and watch them grow! So much fun (okay, maybe not the spiders)!

Very cool. I never saw such tiny frogs! What do you feed them?

Not quite sure what to feed them. I caught some flies and put them in there, but they didn't eat them. I read crickets, but I haven't made it to town to buy any. I put them under a light at night in hopes that they catch whatever comes there way.......
