Sorry I haven’t blogged in a long time (I think a lot of bloggers must start off with that)! I can't imagine that our life could be more crazy than it is right now. Recap:
Going back to Halloween, we had a fun filled weekend with three parties, and trick-or-treating via hayride and of course golf-cart! Morgan won an award for "cutest bug", Schuyler won the"creepiest bug" award, and Graydon won the "superist super hero". I love the sorting of the candy at the end of the night!
We went to Kansas in November and enjoyed family, hunting, food, libation and had lots of fun! The drive for the very short weekend was long but well worth it! The highlight was probably the tractor ride and trampoline jumping!
Now we move into the Christmas holiday and it has been very busy with trying to do crafts and presents for my class, teacher gifts for the kids teachers, Christmas cards, present shopping, and working! I look forward to next week when the kids are off school and we don't have to be on a schedule!!
Other than that it has been football games, field trips, doctors appointments, book reading, birthday parties, choir concerts, sleepovers, and soccer games! Somewhere in there Curtis had a boys weekend in Colorado, Heather had a girls over-nighter at a winery, we had a night out on the San Antonio Riverwalk (without kids), and of course there was a visit from Linda! Now we move into the Christmas holiday and it has been very busy with trying to do crafts and presents for my class, teacher gifts for the kids teachers, Christmas cards, present shopping, and working! Other news: Schuyler won a second grade writing contest and was 1 of 4 second graders to compete in the UIL creative writing competition. The actually competition was yesterday, but I don't expect much from the results, and they will actually not be available until January. There was extensive creative writing practice during the last month to prepare, but I really didn't see very much creative writing or interest. A good experience nonetheless. She is also busy with Brownie Scouts and Bounce Crew (basketball).
Morgan is always coming home with little recognitions and rewards and seems to really be excelling, or maybe just ex"selling" her cuteness with smiles and silliness. She is also in Bounce Crew and seems to be really excited about it!
Graydon is just great! School is so amazing for him and I am so thankful that he attends! Yes, that was our son on stage singing Ozzy Osbourne's Iron Man song at the top of his lungs - in a packed church while the other 30 kids were quietly on stage listening to "The Night Before Christmas"!
And of course Scout! He keeps me on my toes at all times and is into anything and everything. Nothing is out of his reach and he especially like to get a hold of toilet paper (in or out of the toilet) and loves to shred it all over the house! He sure does love those kids though, and they love him!
The only quote I can remember of late was Morgan when we were talking about Grandma and Poppa Schuyler and she said, "That is no fair, how come his name is Poppa Schuyler and not Poppa Morgan!"
That is it for the three month recap!
So again.......
Happy Halloween….. Happy Thanksgiving…… Happy Holidays…… Happy Birthday Kristall, Dad and Jesse...... and Happy New Years!
