Finally Five!

Morgan's birthday was kicked off with sprinkle pancakes for breakfast, followed by all day pampering. We went to Sonic for an impromptu ice cream celebration with twenty of her friends, and then celebrated at home with her dinner of choice (chicken nuggets), a cherry cheesecake with a cherry shaped heart (also by choice), and presents.

Her much anticipated birthday party followed a few days later and included a birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese with five of her female classmates/best friends! Curtis and I had a great time as chaperons. We were very impressed with the pampering of the staff and the way they seemed to make Morgan feel like a princess on her special day. In fact, our only hick-up came when one of the girls became terrified of Chuck-E-Cheese when he came out to visit the birthday girl (luckily our friend Shawn was there at that time to help distract her while we could focus on Mo!). We pretty much had the place to ourselves and were able to get lots of extra trinkets when Morgan hit a jackpot on one of the machines! A great kickoff to our Spring Break!

The title is not for me - I wish she would stay four forever. Morgan has been counting down her birthday for 364 days, and is so excited that she is finally five!
