Oh my gosh, you know me...... Of course I cried! I mean, come on...... my little girl is seven and got her ears pierced! She was clinging on to me for dear life, and I treasured every second of that! She was very brave, and I was proud of that! They are pretty little daisy cubic zirconia flat earrings, and I love that!
The girls have been asking for months, so we went into Claire's in hopes they had two people available to pierce both ears at the same time. They only had one technician, so I asked if she could explain the process to the girls and we would come back. After all was said and done, Schuyler (much to my surprise) wanted to proceed (I had made the analogy several times it was like getting a shot - and she hates those). Morgan, on the other hand, chickened out (for lack of a better word)! After we drove a mile down the road Morgan sobbed, "I want my ears pierced!" For her, I think we will still go back when there are two technicians!
* Of course Curtis was there (as he always is), and was just as supportive for this momentous event (thank you honey as always) - but I have to say I really enjoyed this girly (and school shopping) day!
Other random tidbits:
Sawyer said, "Aunt Heather, you are the top of the world to me!"Emerson, on the other hand, I swear is so sweet she has to be edible! I can't believe she doesn't have bites taken out of her!
Morgan was looking at the hem in her skirt and the conversation went like this:
Morgan - Mom did you sew this?
Mom - No
Morgan - How did it get like this then?
Mom - I don't know.... it was made like that, someone sewed it.
Morgan - Oh, it must have been God.
