Even though we were there for the few days of ‘winter’, Phil and I had a great visit with the Burkes. Of course the children were the highlight of the weekend, but the parents deserve the credit for their being sweet, well behaved and delightful.
When asked what they’d like to be when they grow up, Schuyler said ‘a veterinarian, but Morgan said she wants to be an elephant! We tried to keep from chuckling out loud; again when she said the bed we would sleep on was made out of rubber bands (a blowup bed). Graydon is on his own discovery path and loves that long hall for running behind his grocery cart or riding on one of his vehicles. Finally on our last morning he ran to me and hugged me. Of course I couldn’t compete with Shaun who has the amusing mouth moves/noises down pat. See linked video.
I don’t know how Heather & Curtis make parenting look so effortless. Despite the never ending laundry and meals and snacks everything is taken in stride. Course it helps to have a pantry which would be the envy of anyone.
We had a great time swimming indoors, bike riding , pool playing, book reading and always drawing. Thanks Burke family for making us feel so at home and being great hosts.

I hope no one minds, but I posted the video of Gradyon and myself being silly on Facebook. Say the word and I'll take it down.
Actually, let me re-phrase, "May I post the video on Facebook?"
That is fine to post the video on FB.
