I was just going through Schuyler's Friday folder, and feel so proud and amazed when I read stuff that she has written herself. And Curtis said, "it is really neat to see how her mind works."

'My Favorite Food Book' is a fill in the blanks and is of course beautifully illustrated. It read as follows:

My favorite food for breakfast is ceereell + Grapss.
My favorite food for lunch is Peenut BuDr and Hunee.
My favorite food for dinner is cikinud And ApllJoos.
But I could eat Doonuss And ceereell for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

* Today we did some preparation for Curtis' Carrot (birthday) Cake, and I had told the girls to keep it a secret. For dinner tonight we had cikinud pot pies, and I think Morgan thought they were dessert pies. She blurted out, "I don't want a chicken pot pie, I want carrot cake!"

* Graydon has learned to flush the toilet. So every time I hear it, I run in there to make sure nothing went down that wasn't supposed to. I started locking the doors. He has also been into everything (as usual - no surprise) to include food coloring, eating pencil erasers, and a jar of allspice which broke all over the floor. I have yet to move my spice stuff to higher grounds.
