Other than tennis, Schuyler is in her second year of Daisy Scouts with a REALLY great year planned. Morgan is in choir at her school and sings at the top of her lungs in the car or house or anywhere. Schuyler, as a Little Viking, gets to lead the HS Varsity football players out onto the field for their home games, which has been really neat! We have been to countless birthday parties, pictured is one where they had to dress as superheros. The girls were the Powerpuff Girls and Graydon was batman! I am on the Lago Vista elementary PTO board again this year, holding the chair of writing the newsletter. I continue to play soccer on Thursday nights on my Women's 3 vs. 3 league. I have really been trying to exercise six days a week. Last week it went something like this (M=went to a spinning class with a friend, T = rode the stationary bike for 9 miles, W = jogged for two miles, Th = rode the bike with Graydon in tow for 6 miles, F = Ran 10 x 100 sprints with some friends, S = ran two miles). I am pretty frustrated with the results (or lack there of - no weight loss), but plan to make it a lifestyle change. I have read three books in about a month - can you believe it? I have also been doing a kid swap on Wednesday for two hours, so every fourth Wednesday I watch 5 kids, and the other weeks I am KID FREE!!!* I hosted a baby shower for Kristall (Emerson is due to arrive on 10/6), I am hosting Bunco (and providing the whole meal) for 15 women. We are hosting our best friends from Colorado for a week, and Sharon and Ron will be here for for the month of October (for Emerson's arrival). Fun and busy times!
Curtis is of course busy with work and is currently working from home 3 days a week - which is a really nice balance. He also wants to sail every chance he can get, and golfs once and awhile. The other day he tore his calf muscle playing tennis and it was SO huge it looked like something out of a cartoon (he was in a lot of pain and couldn't walk).
All these activities are on top of everyday school, work, cleaning, carpooling, homework, play dates, and family time!
* I had looked forward to today's kid swap and to take advantage of my two kid free hours, however it did not happen. Poor Schuyler was up half the night throwing up and stayed home from school today. She is better and was fever free, so hopefully we are in the clear.
