Busy Holiday Weekend!

We had a busy Labor Day weekend. Friday I had to twist Curtis' arm (a lot) to go to a Round Rock Express game...... but it was a really fun time for the kids. It was a very kid friendly ball park, and I think everyone (even Curtis) had a good time. We went with my friend Sarah and her son Aiden, and then Schuyler brought her friend Cassie. So it was three adults and five children (busy). We had great seats (pretty close between home and third) that my friend Stephanie gave to us, but only sat in them for $20 worth of hot dog consumption. Then we moved out to the awesome kids playscape and the empty grass seats. The highlight of my night was finding out about the 1/2 price drinks during the 6th inning...... no really, it was a great time just seeing the kids having a memorable time!

We then (at 11:00 at night, after fireworks) dropped Curtis off with Sarah's husband at his family ranch where they stayed up 'till who knows when, doing who knows what.... No, they actually were hunting dove (and eating dove - wrapped in bacon with jalapenos and cream cheese). They might have been hunting other things late at night (or until 3am in the morning) like coyote, wild pig and other night time creatures. Then Charlie woke all the boys up at 6am to hunt some more. Curtis was home by 11am, then needed a nap!

Saturday we attended a pool party. Sunday we hung out with some friends at a local campground where the kids rode their bikes (a lot), played in the dirt, and had a blast! The weekend was filled with some very late nights and some very fun times!

We seem to have a very busy rest of September as well... more to come!
